So I guess by now you’ve all heard the news, but I’m going to talk about it anyways. After Sunday’s episode of “Terra e…” (Toward the Terra”), a remake of an old sci-fi anime, there was a teaser aired of the new Gundam anime that’s going to be replacing Terra e… when it ends in October. The name of this new Gundam series will be Gundam 00 (pronounced “Gundam Double O”) and it will take place, interestingly enough, in our time line (meaning it will be using the Gregorian Calendar instead of the regular Universal Century calendar used in most old Gundam anime or other Alternate Universe calendars like the Cosmic Era calendar used in Gundam SEED or the After Colony calendar used in Gundam Wing) in the year 2307 AD. The director will be Mizushima Seiji (who directed Fullmetal Alchemist). Here’s to hoping it won’t suck as much as Gundam SEED DESTINY did.
